SAN DIEGO — Two families were displaced from their homes when a plumbing problem grew into a hazardous materials issue Sunday morning in Encanto, officials said.
Fire officials went to a home on Fergus Street near Imperial Avenue around 10:45 a.m. after a woman slipped on backed-up sewage and hit her head, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson said.
