WATERTOWN — Starbuck Elementary School evacuated all students and staff from the building Friday morning and moved them to North Elementary School because of plumbing problems.
Watertown City School District Superintendent Terry N. Fralick said school officials initially thought frozen pipes were to blame for the plumbing issues. He said because the bathrooms were unusable, the school staff and students were evacuated to North Elementary School about 10:30 a.m.

NORTH SIOUX CITY, SD – Dakota Valley Elementary School is closed until Tuesday to fix a plumbing problem.Superintendent Al Leber says the school needs time to fix what’s causing the smell of sewer gas in the school.Students were sent home at 1:00 Thursday afternoon after the problem was discovered.Students will not have school Friday or Monday while plumbers look for the cause of smell and fix it.
